Looking to start your working holiday in Australia the right way?
We offer a complete package for travellers with horse experience — including a guaranteed paid job offer on a well respected, premium horse property with comfortable accommodation and a supportive orientation week to help you settle in.
During the first week of your time in Australia, you’ll be fully taken care of with an 8-night orientation. This includes your work admin set-up, time to recover from jet lag, and the chance to connect with fellow solo travellers. You’ll then move seamlessly into a groom position at a prestigious stud farm, pre-arranged before you even land.
You’ll be working alongside experienced teams, living in comfortable accommodation, and experiencing the real rural lifestyle — with above average pay, structured support, and none of the stress of job hunting on your own.
All you need to do is sit back and enjoy the ride.

Employ Equine
At Employ Equine, we saw an exciting opportunity to help a growing number of people seeking overseas adventures, who wanted to pursue their passion for horses and deepen their equine expertise. However, finding reputable, well-paid equine jobs from abroad isn’t easy, especially as more employers require specific “Australian” skills and experience.
Simultaneously, Australian studs and equine facilities face high demand for reliable, skilled horse handlers who can integrate seamlessly into busy seasons and adapt quickly to local practices. Bridging this gap, we founded Employ Equine to connect passionate international horse enthusiasts with premium Australian equine jobs. We prepare each candidate for work, setting up both employee and employer for success from day one.

Why Choose Us?
We’ve been where you are. That’s why we’ve built a programme that removes the stress and guesswork. No unreliable job boards. No last-minute scrambles. Just solid work, a great team, and a place to start strong.
“I found my job in Australia with the help of Employ Equine. They helped me set everything up from doing a one-week tour in Sydney, (which is amazing and highly recommended, great way to meet new people and make some friends) to making it out to the Thoroughbred yard that I am currently working at. I worked with Georgie; she is super friendly and very helpful. She was fast in answering any questions that I threw her way. Once we figured out where I would go for my job, she put me in touch with someone else headed to the same place as me. Helping us both feel not as alone when heading to a new place for the first time in our lives. I really love the way Georgie keeps in touch and checks in with us, even after we have made it to our destination. I would highly recommend for anyone looking, you can stop because you’ve found it!.”
